Earl Fortner Obituary

Earl was born March 24, 1942 in Madison County. He enjoyed farming and he was a collector of tractors, old cars and trucks. He was a simple man who wore overalls every day. Earl was a man of few words but cared deeply for his family and friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his first wife Ruby Clark Fortner, ex-wife Doris Woodcock Fortner and his two sisters Grace Moody and Yvonne Branch.
Left to cherish his memory are his brother James Fortner, his children, Linda Fortner Spina (Mike), Joann Fortner (Mike), Earl Fortner Jr (Tracy), Sandra Woodcock, Randy Woodcock (Jennifer), Lacy Fortner Jones (Mark), ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family for visitation from 11-1pm at Madison Funeral Home on Thursday October 9, 2025. A service will be held at 1pm with Pastor Greg Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
