Ruby Lee Massey Fisher, 87, of Marshall, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Born November 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Gladys Massey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Joseph Fisher, daughter, Sheila, grandson, Dean Metcalf, son-in-law, Michael Metcalf, and brother, Everette Massey.

Ruby was an avid gardener and quilter, and a loving mother and grandmother. Her giggle will be greatly missed.

She is survived by: her two daughters, Wanda Metcalf and Patricia Sluder (Rick); two sons, Bobby Fisher (Jamie) and Michael Fisher (Myshell); nine grandchildren: Amanda Hensley (Jeremy), Travis Metcalf (Heather), Elizabeth Ammons (Nathan), Joey Fisher (Amber), Holly Rice (Danny), James Flynn (Viktoria), Nick Fisher (Leigha), Heather Fisher, and Jennifer Ray (Adam); 23 great grandchildren; three great-great granddaughters and one on the way; two sisters, Maggie Honeycutt (JP) and Evaleen Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Madison Funeral Services with Pastor Darrell Roberts officiating. Pallbearers will be Travis Metcalf, Jeremy Hensley, Nathan Ammons, Joey Fisher, James Flynn and Nick Fisher. Interment will follow in the Bowman Rector Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 – 12:00 prior to the service.
