Leon Payne Obituary
Leon was born September 29, 1947, to the late Boyd and Inis Payne.
Leon retired from Beacon Manufacturing in 2014. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Black Mountain, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Payne.
Leon is survived by his sisters; Barbara Ann Wilde of Mars Hill, Lila Mae Cutshaw (Larry) of Marshall, Mary Payne Gentry (Blanco) of Marshall, brothers; Douglas Payne of Marshall and Calvin Payne of Marshall.
A funeral service will be held for Mr. Payne on Wednesday January 7, 2026, at 1pm in the chapel of Madison Funeral Home, with Randy Gregg and Nic Coates officiating. The family will receive friends from 12pm-1pm prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Madison Health and Rehab for the care they provided to Mr. Payne.
