Earl Cleveland Goins

Earl Cleveland Goins, age 100 of Whiteville, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025 at West Bladen Assisted Living in Bladenboro
Mr. Goins was born on August 15, 1925 to the late Grover Cleveland Goins and Lornia Horton Goins and was the husband of the late Evelyn Louise Adams Goins preceding him in 2020 after 68 years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by two great-grandchildren, Serenity Rose Goins and Jax Alexander Rodriguez; and five siblings, Ruby Bowen, Claude Goins, Leroy "Sonny" Goins, Juanita Goins and Christine Peer.
Mr. Goins honorably served his country in the United States Army serving in the European Theatre during WWII.
Final rites will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with military honors.
To cherish his memory, Mr. Goins leaves behind four children: Charles E. Goins of Whiteville, Calvin C. Goins (Kimberly) of Elizabethtown, Betty Elizabeth Fukishima (John) of Brevard, Susan G. Ward (Steve) of Dunn; a sister, Louise Goins Gilmore of Chadbourn; grandchildren: Ryan Goins, Heather Goins, Brett Goins, Christopher Ward, Grayson Ward, Drew Lewis, Kelly Rodriguez, Parker Ward; great-grandchildren, Savannah Goins, Emma Goins, Siler Goins, Owen Goins, Jeremiah Ward, Scarlett Goins, Liam Ward, and Skye Rodriguez, Cruz Rodriguez and Jett Rodriguez.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday prior to the service.
