Earl Joseph Gonzalez

Earl Joseph Gonzalez, age 82 of Macclenny passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born on February 1, 1940 to the late Mr. Joe and Dicie (Crews) Gonzalez in Jacksonville. Most people in Baker County knew Mr. Earl from his years of dedicated service as a deputy with the Sheriff's Office, from which he would retire. He attended church for many years at Christian Fellowship Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters: Laura Honeycutt and CoraLee Crawford.
He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-six years: Debra Gail Gonzalez; children: Scott (Edwina) Gonzalez, Gerald (Jessica) Gonzalez, and Lorinda (Mike) Fish all of Glen St. Mary; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers: Donnie (Pam) Gonzalez and Ronnie Gonzalez; his dog: ChaCha; as well as extended family members.
The family will be receiving friends Monday, February 14, 2022 at 1:00PM at Christian Fellowship Temple. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastors David Thomas and Timmy Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Cemetery.
