Earl Guyton Obituary
Earl Loyd Guyton, age 88 of Whiteville, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at McLeod Hospital in Loris.
Earl was born on September 7, 1935, to the late Orby Lee Guyton and Marie Caswell. He was also preceded in death by a sister Dorothy G. Benton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. at Worthington Funeral Home, with Pastor John Beattie and Pastor Julian Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:15 prior to the service on Tuesday.
Earl owned and operated Guyton and Son Logging Company from 1970-1997, he was a veteran in the Navy during the Korean War, and an avid fisherman.
Earl is survived by his wife, Patsy Jean Bass Guyton of the home; daughter, Melody Guyton of Chadbourn; son, Jeffrey Earl Guyton of Chadbourn; step-daughter, Julie Graves of Whiteville; brother, Jimmy Keith Guyton (Linda) of Evergreen; five grandchildren, Colby Guyton (Stephanie), Amber Mattice, Zachary Graves, Cameron Guyton, and Ethan Guyton; four great-grandchildren, Kerian Guyton, Kenley Guyton, Mia Guyton, and Sebastian Worrell.
