Sorry to learn that Earl passed on. I worked with and around him for twenty-five years. He was very intelligent, funny, knew his business and was always ready to give someone else credit. He really was a major force in making the community colleges the centerpiece of the state's education system. Farewell my friend.

I was deeply sorry to hear of Earl's passing. The was an easygoing, friendly guy. I worked as his Executive Assistant at the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges for 14 years. He was always a fair and thoughtful boss. He always had an open-door policy for the employees. He was a great off-the-cuff speaker and was a huge advocate for the community and technical colleges. He was well respected in state government and around the country.
My husband and I send our deepest condolences to Camille and the family during this difficult time. I hope to attend the memorial if I am in Washington.

RIP, Earl
From one transplant from E. Washington (Kennewick) to another (Cheney), you did a great job with the board for the community and technical colleges of Washington while residing in W. Washington. The state owes you a great deal of gratitude.

Earl was a friendly, generous and intelligent man who I met and worked with on legislative issues in the 1980s and beyond. I will miss seeing his smiling face!
