Earl Johnson Jr.

Earl Johnson Jr., age of 85 of St. Johnsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.
Born on January 15, 1940, in Sharon, CT, he was the son of the late Earl Sr. and Marjorie (Judd) Johnson.
Earl is predeceased by his adored wife, Joan Johnson, to whom he was married for nearly half a century before her passing on March 17, 2015.
A man of great courage and patriotism, Earl proudly served his country in the United States Army. His bravery and strength were not only evident on the field but also shone through in every aspect of his life. After his service, he continued to contribute to his community through his active involvement with the Johnstown Moose, the Johnstown Senior Center, the Masons in Johnstown, and the Pitch League. Earl was the owner and operator of Arrow Tech in Johnstown. His hands were as capable as his heart was large; he was a fixer, a doer, and an ever-ready helper. An avid outdoorsman, Earl relished the time he spent hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Monica Flansburg (Don); his brother, Richard Johnson (Carol); his grandchildren, Cheyenne Hisert (Wyatt), Jill Manchester (Phil), and Donald Flansburg (Casey); and his great-grandchildren, Caleb and Jett.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM at the funeral home with Reverend Dr. R.W. Williams officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
