Earl Edward Krause, age 79, died after a long fight with CNS Lymphoma on October 15, 2024 while surrounded by his family and love of his life, Deanna. Earl and Deanna shared a great passion for horticulture. They regularly grew award-winning roses and would often open their yard to share their beautiful gardens with fellow enthusiasts. Earl was a longtime member of both Houston and American Rose Societies as well as past chairman of Texas Rose Rustlers. He was also Master Consulting Rosarian for American Rose Society and recipient of the Silver Honor Medal from American Rose Society for Outstanding Service to the American Rose Society.
Earl is survived by his wife, Deanna, whom he was married to for 56 years. From their love, he is also survived by their two children Kimberly Boncler (Craig) and Kevin Krause (Desire), his grandchildren Cierra Krause, Michael Boncler, Summer Lira (Jose), Spring Sorensen, KC Krause, Chris Boncler, Tim Boncler, Bowen Krause, Lucian Krause, Izabella Krause, and his great grandson Leonardo Lira. He is preceded in death by his parents Lee and Elsie Krause, his brother Delvin Krause and his and Deanna's infant son.
He lived a long, fulfilling life where he could often be found spending time with family on some new adventure. His hobbies included boating, photography, fishing, birding, gold mining, gardening and he loved trains. By trade, Earl was a Master Electrician. While working as an electrician on the Houston Ship Channel, he was also part of the Channel Emergency Response Team where he trained as an EMT and firefighter. He was a former member of Sunset United Methodist Church where he was a Scout Coordinator and Leader for Troop 539. Later, he became a member of the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena where he was an active member of the Levites. Additionally, he was also a member of the Pearland Amateur Radio Club.
Earl never met a stranger and could often be found making new friends everywhere he went. He will always be remembered by his kind heart, loyalty, altruism, giving soul, selflessness, strength, and the abundance of love he always had to give.

Sorry to hear of Earl's passing. I knew your brother Del when he married Glenda Butner. My sister Nancy Butner's mother-in-law who lived here in Spartanburg SC where I had returned from Texas to help with my mom. Later I met Lee at Del's service here who connected with Nancy's son Dr Joseph Butner, who's work took him to Houston. Thus, I knew two of your family who represented your family very well indeed. I remember Del who spoke of Earl and his life in Houston with everyone whom he missed greatly. Although I never knew Earl personally, I know my family shares your grief and I feel your loss.
Love to all,
Nancy's sister Louise
