Mr. Earl Wayne Luker of Selma, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Alabaster, Alabama at the age of 75.
He was born in New Jersey on May 24, 1949 to the late Jessie Willard Luker and the late Anna Louise Reitenouer Luker.
Earl began his career with City of Selma Water Works Department in 1982 and was currently still serving as the Water Works Treatment Plant Superintendent.
He was a man that loved his family and friends. His serious yet soft demeanor will forever be remembered as what set him apart from others. He was a wonderful husband, a loving father, and extraordinary grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Michelle Luker Meeks (Doc); grandchildren, Kelly Ann Osbon (Jesse), McKenna Meeks, Anna Grace Meeks, Mary Peyton Meeks, and Faith Irwin; great-grandchildren, Alivia Meeks and Matthew Earl-Osbon; siblings, Willard Luker (Marie), Billy Luker (Shelton), Bobby Luker (Patty), Nancy Breland (Ed), Wanda Cooper (Larry), Ruth Ann Lee (Daniel); brother-in-law, Juan Enriquez; sister-in-law, Rosa Aguilar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carmen Luker; and daughter, Amy Irwin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 from the Praise Park Church of the Nazarene in Valley Grande, Alabama with the Rev. James Kramer and the Rev. James Perkins, Jr. officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Interment will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Brian Luker, Brad Luker, Larry Cooper, Joey Lee, Michael Lee, Jake Wright, Gabe Wright, and Cody Luker.
Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
