. Earl Roundtree, Sr., 94, widower of Frances Roundtree of 105 Oakland Street, Greenwood, South Carolina departed this life on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at his home. Born in Greenwood County, he was the son of the late Alec Roundtree and Mahalia Sullivan Roundtree. He attended Brewer High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Monsanto Plant after 30 years of service. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by one son, Earl Roundtree, Jr., (Lillie Bolden); two daughters, Deborah (Donell) Tolbert of Greenwood, South Carolina and Brenda R. Shelton of Ninety-Six, South Carolina; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, a special friend, Eva Partlow and a host of other relatives and friends. Public viewing will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 1-6 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at Flint Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend John R. Brightharp officiating. Assisting will be Reverend Ronnie Parkman and Reverend William Booker. The body will be place in the church at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Parks Funeral Home is assisting the Roundtree Family.
