EARL GENE SUMMERHILL
February 9, 1934 ˜ November 6, 2024

Earl Gene Summerhill was born to Thomps and Mina Summerhill Feb. 9, 1934, in Van Buren, AR. Earl died peacefully at home with family by his side on Nov. 6, 2024.
After graduation, Earl joined the Army July 23, 1953. He returned home to Van Buren in July 1956 and was unable to find work, so Earl moved to Vancouver to be with family. He was quickly hired by Crown Zellerbach and worked for 22 years as a supervisor before starting his own landscaping business until he was 82.
He is survived by, his wife of 41 years, Rebekah; sons, Mark (Kathy) and Michael (Brenda); daughters, Debi (Tony) Truong and Dawn (Mark) Kroll; brother, Paul (Jo Etta); sister, Reba Ball; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Earl lived with honor having his priorities in life: love for God and His Savior, Jesus Christ; love for his family, and love for his country.
A celebration of life will be Nov. 17, 2024, at 11:30 a.m. at ANEW! Church located at Washington Grange #82, 7701 NE Ward Road, Vancouver, WA 98662.
