Earl Chester White, age 79, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Friday, January 24, 2025. Chester was born July 2, 1945 to the late Earl White and Willie Mae (Foster) Spivey in Akron, Ohio. From 1984-1989 he ran Chester White Construction and then owned and operated Chester White Quarry for over thirty one years. He was a hard worker all of his life, as his family put it a slave driver but also one of the most kind-hearted men you would ever meet. Over the years he spent many nights playing his banjo and singing at benefits for people. He was a one of a kind man who had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Evilyn White; daughter, Willisa (Lee) Carney; sons, Clevey (Nenita) White; Stacey (Audrie) White; grandchildren, Lucas Murphy, Leah Carney, Levi Carney, Dylan White; five great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.

Honorary Pallbearers: Kevin Parker, Charlie Parker, Dale Penland, Austin Denton, Jason Dye, Lynn Mauldin, Chad Hooper
Visitation: Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Macedonia Baptist Church from 4:00-9:00pm
Funeral Service: Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 11:00am at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Jarrard and Isaiah Allen officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Banister-Cooper is in charge of arrangements for Mr. Chester White.
