Earlene Blank Obituary
Enie was born on May 15, 1938, in Clarissa, MN to Henry and Viola (Lundstrom) Waldahl and was the second of six children. She was homecoming queen at Staples High School where she graduated in 1956. She moved to California in 1958 and met her future husband, Richard "Dick" Blank, while they both worked at Farmers Insurance. They were married in 1961 and raised their family in Southern California. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, painting, knitting, and playing tennis and golf. She and her husband of 64 years enjoyed traveling and hosting parties for family and friends. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and other organizations.
Earlene is survived by her husband, Richard Blank; children Cynthia (Kevin) Brousseau and Jeffrey (Stacy) Blank; grandchildren Kyle, Justin, Alexandra, and Cameron; two great-grandchildren; sister, Gloris "Gogo" Rehak; brothers Lyle Waldahl, and Lane (Donna) Waldahl; along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Earlene in death were her parents Henry and Viola Waldahl; and brothers Laurel "Baldy" Waldahl, and James "Jim" Waldahl.
She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and she will be deeply missed. A loving and giving person, she touched everyone who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Woodmen Cemetery in Clarissa.
