Earline (Hill) Carter, transitioned into her heavenly home on January 1, 2026 after living a full and purposeful life. Earline was a gifted educator.

Earline was born to Alice Mae and Daniel Hill on November 19, 1922 in Mendoza, Texas west of Lockhart. She was a graduate of The Original L.C. Anderson High School and Tillotson (Huston-Tillotson University) with additional studies at Our Lady of the Lake University. She became a teacher in the San Antonio Independent school district for 30 plus years.

She married Webster Gregg, Sr. in which one son was born (Webster Gregg Jr.) Later she married Patrick Carter (married over 30 years) while living in San Antonio Texas. They were faithful members that served at the Antioch Baptist Church, San Antonio Texas. Both husbands and son preceded her in death.

Earline returned to Austin and united with Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in December 2005 under the leadership of Pastor A.W.Anthony Mays. She served faithfully in the church school and senior ministry.

She leaves two grandchildren Davetta Gregg and Joseph (Andrea) Gregg: great granddaughter, Jakayla Gregg; great great granddaughter, La'Niyah Gage: four special sons; Shelly Hill (California), Thomas Harris (Freda) (Georgia); Aderniran Adeniji (Peace) and Maurice King (Marcia); sister, Ida Hunt: brother, Herman A. Hill (Loretta); sister-in-law, Eddie Hill; nephews and nieces, Marvin Harris (Alice); Sheila ((Jeffrey)(Virginia); Willis Hunt II (Edalma); Michael Hill; Vastine Hill; Reginald Hill, Herman R. Hill, Sharon Smith (Kenneth). Additionally, Earline also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends to mourn her loss.
