Earline Davis

Earline Davis, 78, Rogersville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at Cox Medical Center South, surrounded by her children.
She was born June 23, 1947 in Turners, Missouri. She was united in marriage July 30, 1965 in Ozark to Gaylen Davis. He preceded her in death in 2022. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Barnett and her maternal grandparents, who raised her after her mother passed away.
Earline worked at Logan-Rogersville School District as a bus driver for over 35 years. Following retirement, she was co-owner of Davis Custom Homes, she and Gaylen built many homes in the southwest Missouri area. She was a member of Mentor Baptist Church and enjoyed camping, being at the lake with her family and friends and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy May and her husband Bryant, a son, Michael Davis, five grandchildren, Kaylea and her husband David, Shelby B. and her husband Travis, Shelby D. and her husband Blake, Jesse and his wife Destiny; and Isaac; eight great-grandchildren, Paisley, Logann, Keaton, Oliver, Colt, Charlie, Barrett, and Anderson; a sister, Ernestine Applegate; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Wrinkle and her husband Terry, and Patty Davis; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, January 16, 2026, at J.D. Lee and Sons Funeral Home, Rogersville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Springhill Cemetery, south of Rogersville.
It was Earline's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
