Earline Beard Wall, age 96, of Brandon, MS, formerly of Columbus, MS, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Brandon Court Nursing Home leaving behind love and devotion to her family. Funeral services will be Friday, December 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sammy Crawford officiating. The interment will immediately follow at Memorial Gardens of Columbus. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
Earline worked at South Central Bell as a telephone operator for many years. She was then a stay at home mom devoted to her family which she dearly loved. She then was a teaching assistant at Franklin Academy and enjoyed working with children, her greatest joy was her family. Earline was proud of her children and grandchildren. She cherished every moment watching them play sports, dance and piano recitals, and providing wise counsel. Earline also found great joy working in her yard and was awarded yard of the month many times.
Earline is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Jessie Beard, her husband, John Wall, and her sisters, Clary McElroy and Sarah Combs. She is survived by her children, John Wall, Jr., Linda Yarbrough (Bob), and Alan Wall (Traci), grandchildren, Hunter Yarbrough, John Alan Wall, and Tori Brown (Tyler), and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Yarbrough, John Alan Wall, Tyler Brown, Mark Harris, Jamie Bailey, and Robin Compassi.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or Fairview Baptist Church, 127 Airline Rd., Columbus, MS, 39702.
