His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: James Halbert (Precious) of Macon, MS; Dominique Burkhalter of Starkville, MS; Latedra Burkhalter and Latrecia Halbert, both of Starkville, MS; and his sixteen grandchildren: Jahmyah Halbert, Janiya Halbert, Jayce Halbert, Jakyle Halbert, Dominique Burkhalter Jr., Derrious Burkhalter, Dallas Burkhalter, Desmin Burkhalter, Destinee Burkhalter, Aiden Burkhalter, Ava Burkhalter, Hunter Burkhalter, Journee Williams, Justice Williams, Loryn Halbert, and Aubri Wright.

He also leaves to cherish his memory his sisters and brothers: Lula Hodges (Willie) of Columbus, MS; Quantina Halbert-Robinson (Rochon) of Crawford, MS; Stephanie Halbert of Starkville, MS; Robert Halbert (Melanie) and Demetric Halbert, both of Crawford, MS; Elvis Wayne Sykes (Jan) and Tony Sykes (Felicia), both of Crawford, MS; Steven Sykes of Michael, MS; Stephanie Ross (Demarcus) of Douglasville, GA; Hansel Moore of Memphis, TN; Lonzel Brooks and Mary Baptist (Joe), both of Kankakee, IL; Arthur Bibbs of Muscle Shoals, AL; Telesha Sherman of Dallas, TX; Sharita Sykes of Mableton, GA; God-sister Gracie Robinson of New Orleans, LA; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
