Gerald Edward "Ed" Brashier, 83, husband of Patricia Stewart "Pat" Brashier for 61 years, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 4, 2025.

Mr. Brashier was born in Simpsonville to the late John Lewis Brashier, Sr. and Onie Lee Tucker Brashier. Ed was the owner of The Ed Brashier Agency and a lifetime member of Unity Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, Deacon, and Treasurer. Ed also was a member of the Simpsonville Rotary Club for 57 years, a member of the board of directors for The Springs of Simpsonville, and served as a board member for many organizations including Greenville Tech, YMCA, SC Child Care Association, and Simpsonville Planning Commission.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Lauren Brashier; a son, Adrian Brashier; and a grandson, Lucas Brashier. Ed was predeceased by six brothers, Fred Brashier, Lawrence Brashier, Lewis Brashier, Jr., Claude Brashier, Frank Brashier, and Robert Brashier; and a sister, Frances Brashier.

A celebration of Ed's life will begin at 2 o'clock Monday at Unity Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Larry Ledford. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private in the Simpsonville Municipal Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ed's honor to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St, Greenville, SC 29605; or to The Salvation Army, 424 Westfield Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
