Eddie Hughes Crawford, age 73 of Morgantown, KY, passed away at his residence in Morgantown, KY, on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Born on August 13, 1951, in Woodbury, KY, Eddie's life was a testament to the enduring strength of family, friendship, and faith.
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. and Dorothy Pardue Crawford, his wife, Nancy Crawford, and his siblings Bobby Crawford, Billy Crawford, Betty Lykins Guffy, Emogene Fishburn, and Freddie Crawford. Eddie is survived by four siblings: Christine McLaughlin-Riley of Louisville, KY, Joie Kresser (Lee) of Cincinnati, OH, Anne Render (Kendall) of Louisville, KY, and Linda Johnson of Bowling Green, KY.
A United States Army Veteran, member of the Woodbury Missionary Baptist Church and A Friend to the Morgantown Mission. Eddie's interests were as rich and varied as his character. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, where he could reflect on the beauty of nature and reading about history. His passion for collecting primitives was matched only by his skill as wood carving and his artistic talents.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 2:00pm with Bro. Raleigh Blancett officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 11:00am until funeral time at 2:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to The Morgantown Mission 109 South Main Street Morgantown, KY 42261.
