MS. EDDIE LAVERNE FERRELL, a cherished soul, ascended to eternal life on October 23, 2024, in the very heart of her beloved Fort Worth, Texas, where she was born on September 8, 1945. Her departure from this world leaves an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her, a poignant echo of a life imbued with quiet strength and unwavering love.
Eddie LaVerne was not just a name; she was the embodiment of grace and warmth. Many will remember her as a delicate spirit, yet those who ventured beyond her serene exterior discovered an outgoing essence that radiated joy. Her laughter was a gentle melody, a harmonious thread woven through the lives she touched, embodying the profound connection she held with her family and friends.
In the tapestry of her life, the vibrant threads of family were paramount. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Lachell Ferrell, and dedicated son, Darrin Washington, whose lives will forever carry the imprint of her love and guidance. The bond she shared with her sister, Belinda Mitchell, was one of deep significance; together they forged memories that now stand as precious legacies of a sisterhood defined by shared laughter and unwavering support.
Eddie’s services will take place at the New Birth Baptist Church, situated at 3700 West Risinger Road in Fort Worth, TX, a place that will forever resonate with her spirit. On November 1, 2024, a Prayer Service will offer friends and family an opportunity to reflect upon her life’s journey and to collectively share in their grief and gratitude. It is here, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, that stories will blossom and memories will flourish, as each attendee lights a candle of remembrance for the quiet and outgoing woman they adored.
The following day, friends and family will gather once again at the same sacred site for a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM, culminating at noon. This gathering will serve as a testament to Eddie's influence on those around her, as they honor a life filled with love, compassion, and cherished moments.
