Brother Eddie Howard Jr. was born February 18, 1944, to the union of the late Eddie and

Essie Howard, Sr. He departed this earthly life for eternal rest on September 18, 2025.

Eddie accepted Christ at an early age and united with Saint Peter Baptist Church in

Mobile, Alabama under the leadership of the late Reverend Davis.

He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Baltimore Street Inc. under the

leadership of Pastor Henry P. Williams, Sr., and later Pastor Melvin Clark. He was a

devoted Christian and served faithfully in many capacities of the Church: Sunday School

Superintendent, Trustee, Senior Usher Board and as a Deacon.

Brother Howard was a proud graduate of Central High School Class of 1961. Eddie went

on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army until 1966. After leaving the Army, Eddie

started work as a Laborer with Alcoa Aluminum Company until his retirement.

With his outgoing personality and love of people, he was involved in many Civic and Social

Organizations. He was a former member of the Mobile Area Mardi Gras Association

(MAMGA), the Dragons Civic and Social Club, the Debonair Social Club, and The Lions

Club.

Eddie loved finding and preparing new recipes for family and friends to sample. That

passion led to him becoming an entrepreneur. He started Howard's Catering where he

provided exceptional services for church activities, birthday parties, weddings, and family

gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his beautiful, loving and devoted wife of 55 years; Claudette

Love Howard; his daughter: Danessa L. Howard; his parents: Eddie and Essie Mae
