Blondine "Blondy" Thurman Boggs, a lifelong resident of Mobile, Alabama, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Saads Hospice Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on April 27, 1952, to James and Theresa Thurman, Blondine was the second eldest of six children. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by the late Rev. G.L. King, a commitment that shaped her life and guided her path. A proud 1970 graduate of Central High School, she later attended Job Corps in Guthrie, Oklahoma, where she continued to pursue her passion for learning and service.
Blondine dedicated over 40 years to educating and nurturing children, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. She was known for her quiet strength, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to her family, church, and community.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Melvin Mayhand Jr. and Marco Thurman, and her sisters Jeanette Houston and Annette Holcombe.
Blondine leaves to cherish her memory one devoted sister, Kathey Thurman of Mobile, AL; three loving children: Tonya R. Malone (Lonnie L. Malone) of Jacksonville, FL; Angela M. Boggs (Paul Poe) of Mobile, AL; and Eddie Boggs III of Mobile, AL. She is also survived by a host of adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
Her legacy of love, faith, and quiet resilience will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
