Grace McSwain Williams Obituary

Publish in a newspaper

Grace "The Queen" Louise Williams, a native and lifelong
resident of Mobile, Alabama, was born on February 12,
1955, to the union of James and Dorothy Perryman. She
peacefully transitioned from this life on November 10, 2025.
Grace graduated from Toulminville High School in 1975.
She continued her educational journey by earning a
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and was
actively pursuing her Master's Degree. She proudly served
as a Pre-K teacher with Mobile Community Action, where
she joyfully devoted herself to nurturing young minds.
Warm, loving, and full of kindness, Grace never met a
stranger. She was known for always sharing uplifting words
and never departing without saying, "I love you." Her joyful
expression, "Call me the Queen," will forever echo in the
hearts of those who loved her.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, James and
Dorothy Perryman, and her sister, Voncille Danbry.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband,
James Williams; four sons, Mike, Jovay, Darrell (Eisha), and
Damein Collins; and one daughter, Kimethia Collins. She is
also survived by two sisters, Rosetta (Murray) Marks and
Sylvia (Curtis) Bell; and one brother, James (Elizabeth)
Perryman.
She will be deeply missed by her 17 grandchildren, 2 great-
grandchildren, and a host of loving relatives, friends, and
co-workers.
Her legacy of love, strength, and grace will live on in all
who were blessed to know her.
