Mr. Terry Burrell passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 69 in Mobile, Alabama.
Terry was born on May 31, 1956, in Mobile, Alabama, to Shelby Hamilton and Alice Apkins. He graduated from Mattie T. Blount High School in 1974 before beginning his service in the United States Air Force. After completing his military tenure, Terry began a new chapter with Kimberly-Clark, formerly Scotts Paper Company where he worked for 28 years in dual roles as machine attendant and union official until his retirement.
During his time in the Air Force, Terry was stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, where he quickly fell in love with the city. It remained a place close to his heart and one he always dreamed of returning to. He was grateful to spend his later years there before settling back home in Mobile.

A loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, Terry was known for his love of good times, playful trash talk, talent for cooking, and for always traveling with a cooler filled with his beverage of choice. He treasured time spent with family and will be remembered for his warm, outgoing, and talkative spirit.

Terry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Shelby Hamilton and Alice Apkins (Willie Lee); his grandparents, Dan and Queen Burrell; his sisters, Towanda Apkins, Mary Griffin, Vera Hamilton, and Angela Wiggins; his brother, Grayling Apkins; along with a host of other cherished relatives.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children Terran Jamon Burrell Sr. (Tamara) of Columbus, Ohio, VaKeshia Terrvon Smith (Manuel) of Mobile, Alabama, and Caterrica Leshay Walker (Jaleel) Savannah, Georgia; grandchildren, Terran Jamon Burrell Jr, Payton Alexis Cromwell, Chandler Stephvon Burrell, Courtney Simone Burrell, Jaleel Christopher Walker Jr. and Bella Dream Walker; great grandchildren, Rylee Azariah Floyd, Khloe Leighelle Grays, Bailey Noelle Cromwell; his longtime companion, Carolyn Bryant; brother, Charles Apkins; dedicated nephew Shawn Simon and niece Grayling McCovery, devoted friends Alan Carter and Mose McKee and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
