Lawrence Alan “Larry” Burrell Sr., 72, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

He was born on May 24, 1953, in Rochester, New York, to his parents, William Cooper Burrell and Cecilia Audrey Washington-Burrell. Larry was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and caring brother who worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He also served as a father figure to many of the neighboring children in his community, always offering guidance, support, and a listening ear.

Larry spent much of his career at Eastman Kodak in Rochester, New York, where he worked his way up and eventually retired as a lead supervisor. He was respected for his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and dedication to his team. After retirement, Larry and his wife moved to the Carolinas to be closer to his sons, daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren. Larry was a member of Transformation Church, under the leadership of Lead Pastor Derwin Gray, where his faith and fellowship with others were an important part of his life.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Diane; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Lamar (Edith) Burrell and Lawrence Jr. (Junique) Burrell; and four grandchildren, Jaena (16), Grace (12), Leah (10), and Grant (7). He is also survived by his sister, Beverly Ann Burrell- Moore (Richard); his sister-in-law, Lajoyce Miller; his nephew, Marcus; his niece, Khaya Lucien; and a host of other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his quiet strength, and his deep love for his family and Church.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33
