Robert John Faivre, known affectionately as “Bob,” passed away peacefully at home in Fort Mill, South Carolina on November 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 68 years old.
Born on May 2, 1957 in Queens, New York, Bob lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and quiet strength. He was a graduate of Dowling College in Oakdale, NY, and built a distinguished career as Director of Manufacturing at Fougera in Hicksville, NY, where he worked for 27 years before retiring in 2012.
In retirement, Bob continued to serve others, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity on home restoration projects in Charlotte, NC. His commitment to community and craftsmanship extended into his personal life, where he was known for his talent in home improvement and landscaping.
Bob was a devoted husband to Eileen, a loving father to Stephen (Marina), and a proud grandfather to Vincent. He is also survived by his siblings Joan Gaetaniello (Jimmy), Gerard (Denise), and Mary, and was a cherished uncle to ten nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Marilynn Whittington Faivre, his father Eugene Faivre, and his stepmother Georgiana.
A man of faith, Bob was Catholic and lived his values through quiet generosity and steadfast love. He was an avid runner, a pickleball enthusiast, and someone who found joy in spending time with family and friends. His stoic yet warm personality, selflessness, and personable sense of humor made him a beloved presence in every room.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill, SC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joe Martin ALS Foundation of Charlotte, NC, in honor of Bob’s spirit of service and compassion.
