Eddie Mae certainly lived a life of distinction. She enriched the lives of so many through her life's work. I had the great privilege of knowing her as a child through our times at Woodside Elementary and then for decades as an adult working on the Newark School Board and within the community. It was our great honor to award Eddie Mae with the Everett D. Reese Award to highlight her service as an unsung hero in our community. She will be missed by so many. Three generations of the Reese family had very personal and meaningful relationships with the Scott family and we will forever treasure the wonderful memories of our dear friend. Love, Sarah
