He was born in Waycross to Eddie Derrell McCray, Sr. and Linda Ford McCray. He was most recently employed as a dietician supervisor at Waycross Health and Rehabilitation but had formerly worked at Greenleaf and Harborview Satilla.
In addition to his mother he was also preceded in death by a sister, Kandice McCray; and a brother, Dwain T. Smith, Jr.
He is survived by his father, Eddie D. McCray, Sr. of Jesup; five siblings, Christina Hampton (husband James), Keshaad Redding, Lashaad McCray (wife Jessyca), Malique Flanagan, and Joseph McCray; his best friend, Chelsea Welch; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (July 12, 2025) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
