Mr. Farrell “Eddie” Edward Rodgers, Jr.
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Farrell “Eddie” Edward Rodgers Jr., age 67, will be held 2:00 pm Monday February 17, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Williams officiating. Mr. Rodgers entered into rest on Thursday February 6, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Augusta. He was native and lifelong resident of Aiken, born to the late Mr. Farrell Edward Rodgers, Sr. and the late Mrs. Virginia Maye Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church. He worked for 27.5 years for Westing House at the Savannah River Site as a procurer in the central shop, retiring in 2012. Mr. Rodgers did many things and had many accomplishments throughout his life. He was a clown for the Shriners and a dj in Nashville. He played semi-pro football for the Augusta Eagles. Mr. Rodgers was the Commander of Company B, reenacting the Civil War, and portraying General Wade Hampton III. He was very knowledgeable of the Civil War and gave lectures across the state. He was known as the historical advisor of General Wade Hampton III. Mr. Rodgers was also a historical advisor on many movies at the Aiken County Museum pertaining to the war between the States. He also portrayed many different historical characters in movies. Mr. Rodgers was the worshipful master of the Aiken Masonic Lodge. He also performed in many plays at the Aiken Community Playhouse. Mr. Rodgers also worked as an EMT and transferred the first baby from the old Aiken Hospital to the new hospital. He lived a full life, and will be missed deeply by his friends and family. Mr. Rodgers is survived by his son Jonathan (Abigail Arrington) Rodgers, Aiken, SC. The viewing will start at 1:00 pm Monday February 17, 20215 in the Chapel at the Funeral Home.
