EDDIE LERNEL ROGERS

Eddie Lernel Rogers, a beloved resident of Stockbridge, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19th, 2026, at the age of 77. Eddie was born on March 16, 1948, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He lived a life marked by dedication, both in his work and his service to his country.

Eddie proudly served in the United States Navy, an experience that he held dear and often spoke of with honor and pride. After his military service, he dedicated his career to Lyon Metal Products, where he worked as a laborer, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues throughout the years.

Eddie was a man known for his strong work ethic, but more importantly, for his kind heart and gentle spirit. He touched the lives of many with his generosity and unwavering support for his friends and family. His presence brought warmth and joy to those around him, and his legacy of kindness and service will continue to inspire those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life to honor Eddie will be held at Gregory B. Levett and Sons Funeral Home, Flat Shoals Location in Decatur, Georgia, on Thursday, March 5th, 2026, at 9:00 am. Following the service, Eddie will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
