Eddie Ruiz, 58, of Three Rivers, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Eddie was born on December 30, 1965, in Kenedy, Texas to Salvador Ruiz and Maria Rita (Sanchez) Ruiz.

He was known for his warmth, generosity and unwavering dedication to his family and friends.

A beloved son, Eddie is preceded in death by his father, Salvador "Pat" Ruiz; and his brother, Gilbert Ruiz.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his mother, Maria “Rita” Ruiz; his girlfriend, Mary Jane Casas; two daughters, Emily Kapolnai and Tina (Abel) Deleon; and a son, John Paul (Sara) Benavidez. His legacy continues through his eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren who brought him much joy.

Eddie is also survived by his nieces and nephews, April (Joe Bob) Guerrero, Cody (Kristen) Ruiz and Brodie Ruiz; as well as great-nieces and nephew, Farryn Guerrero, Taylee Guerrero, Adelyn Ruiz and Kadyn Ruiz. The bonds he shared with each of them were cherished, and his spirit will live on in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Three Rivers. The funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, December 27, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Father Ryszard Zielinski officiating.

Burial will follow in the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Ruiz, Larry De La Garza, Jube Guajardo, Adolfo Perez, Charlie Stronley, and Thomas Salazar.

Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Joe Garcia, and George Longoria.
