Wesley Michael Guzman, age 30, passed peacefully in the arms of his family on December 22, 2025, following a brief illness.
Wesley was born on April 17, 1995, in Beeville, Texas to his loving mother, Marivel Guzman Banks. She was his number one and he loved her unconditionally. As a child, he was rarely seen without one of his Grammy’s tortillas in his front pocket or without his cousins. He graduated from Three Rivers High School, where he excelled as an athlete. He was, and will always be, a Bulldog. In recent years, he spent nearly every day with his family and making sure his sons enjoyed life in the country as he had growing up.
Besides time spent with his sons and family, Wesley had a love for music, pursuing his own music career since he was 16 years old. He also enjoyed good food and had a breakfast taco every morning. Wesley was known for his beaming, energetic personality and always finding the next big thing. If you were a friend with a business or even an idea, he always made sure everybody knew how amazing it was. He was the best hype man for everybody in his life. If you were lucky enough to be loved by Wesley, he loved you big. He touched many souls with his passion for life and happiness.
Wesley is survived by his sons, Zavian and Enzo Guzman; mother, Marivel Guzman Banks; brother, Jaysean Banks; sisters, Leighla Banks, Paisley Keller and Brianda Lopez; his Grammy, Dolores “Lola” Guzman; and numerous aunties, uncles and cousins who will remember him for his beautiful smile and his infectious laugh that could bring sunshine to anybody’s cloudy day.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Freedom Church in Three Rivers, followed by a funeral service at 6 o’clock with Rev. Andy Amaro officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jaysean Banks, Kollin Harless, Harvey Guzman, Jaime Guzman, Hunter Haag and Levi Fulcher.
Honorary pallbearers will be William Haag and Tony Salinas.
