Eddie Simpson, age 55, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
He leaves behind six children, Allen Simpson of East Bernstadt, KY, Amber Bishop & husband Jonathan of Mt. Ary, GA, and Tyler Simpson (Paige), Dustin Simpson & wife Payton, Joseph Pennington (Simpson), Morgan Brock (Simpson), all of
London, KY; nine grandchildren, Kaydon Simpson, Keygon Simpson, Daniel Bishop, Jaydan Simpson, Draikstyn Wilkins, Mystical Gross, Ryder Gross, Aaliya Simpson, Blair Simpson; four siblings, Aaron Simpson of East Bernstadt, KY, Angie McQueen of East Bernstadt, KY, Billy Simpson & wife Sonja of Somerset, KY, Michael Simpson of Somerset, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Sparks & Bertha Simpson; and by two grandchildren, Briar Dwight Wayne Simpson, Tanner Jacob Simpson.
Eddie was a devoted father and grandfather, a skilled mechanic, and passionate artist. He had a lifelong love for working with his hands, whether under the hood of a car or sketching detailed drawing.
As a self-employed mechanic, Eddie had a remarkable talent for fixing anything with an engine. He was always the first to lend a helping hand, never hesitating to assist a friend, neighbor, or stranger in need. His generosity knew no bounds, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Beyond his mechanical skills, Eddie had a creative spirit. He loved to draw, capturing the world around him with artistry and precision. He also had an eye for detail and took great pride in keeping the family vehicles spotless, ensuring they always looked their best.
Above all, Eddie's greatest joy in life was his family. He deeply loved and cherished his children, grandchildren, and all those closest to him. Whether sharing stories, teaching life lessons, or simply spending time together, he made every moment special. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and generosity. Though he may be gone, the impact he made on the lives of his family and friends will never fade.
A funeral service honoring Eddie Simpson will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Simpson Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Allen Simpson, Tyler Simpson, Dustin Simpson, Kenny Simpson, Joseph Pennington and Harold Harris. Honorary pallbearers are Kaydon Simpson, Austin Simpson and Charlotte McKnight.
