Eddie Sterling Obituary
Eddie Don Sterling was born on July 4,1956 to Robert and Mary Sterling in Snyder Texas.They moved to Abilene in 1963 and he remained a resident of Abilene the rest of his life. He was a 1976 graduate of Cooper High school. He then went on to work at General Dynamics for several years as a machinist. He had a passion for auto racing, building hot rods and auto mechanics.He went on have a career in auto mechanics for forty years. His hobbies included fishing and air soft, that he enjoyed with his friends and sons. In 1982 he married Gina Harvey. They had two children Jon Sterling and Ashley Soliz.In 1994 he married Suzann Heneka. They had four children Shelbie Sterling,Danielle Ramirez, Stephen Sterling and Carley Sterling.
He is survived by his Mother Mary Sterling, his sister Denise Ives, his wife Suzann, six children, two son in laws Ethan Soliz, Angel Ramirez and nine grandchildren. Kaden, Kendall, and Ryder Soliz. Shon Sterling,Alexander and Atticus Ramirez, Samuel Sterling,Eli Sterling and Elizabeth Brumley. His niece Meagan Ives and nephew Hunter Ives.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents John and Katy Boatman. His Father Robert Sterling.His grandson Makai Brumley and his great niece Kylie Marie.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 Hwy 277 South. Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park, 5750 Hwy 277 South.
