With hearts both heavy and hopeful, we announce the homegoing of Edee Leann Sinclair, who was called to her eternal rest on August 9, 2025. Born on July 9, 1965, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, Edee lived a radiant life of faith, joy, and service in Needville, Texas, where she made her home. As John 14:2-3 assures us, "In my Father's house are many rooms… I go to prepare a place for you." Edee now dwells in that heavenly place, rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. Edee was the devoted wife of Rick Sinclair, with whom she shared a life of love and commitment in Needville, Texas. She was a nurturing and godly mother to her three children: Richie Sinclair of Paola, Kansas, Andrew Sinclair of Los Angeles, California, and her beloved daughter Abby Sinclair, who preceded her in death in 2023 and now rejoices with her in glory. Edee's legacy endures through her daughter-in-law Lindsay, married to Richie, and their daughter Magdalena, as well as their expected son, Richard, due in November 2025; and her daughter-in-law Sarah, married to Andrew, and their daughter Stevie. She was also a devoted daughter to her mother, Judy Davis, of Lincoln, Nebraska, who resides in Needville, Texas, and was preceded in death by her father, Larry Davis, in 2020. Edee's family was her heart, and she faithfully guided them in the ways of the Lord, as Proverbs 22:6 instructs, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." A faithful servant of Jesus Christ, Edee's life was a radiant reflection of Galatians 5:22-23, bearing the fruit of the Spirit: "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Known for her infectious happiness, she never met a stranger who didn't soon become a friend. Her kind and nurturing spirit touched countless lives, embodying the love of Christ in all she did. Edee's passion for service extended into her community and beyond. A lifelong pro-life advocate, she was a pillar in Texas Republican politics, serving as an election judge for over 30 years, a State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) member, and the Vice Chair of the Fort Bend County Republican Party. Her wisdom and mentorship shaped the careers of many state and federal politicians, earning her widespread respect as a trusted advisor and influential leader. Edee's commitment to godly principles in the public square was steadfast, reflecting her deep faith. Music was a cherished avenue for Edee to glorify God and bless others. As the head of the ukulele band for the All-Stars Banjo Band, she taught hundreds of children to play the ukulele, sparking in them a love for music and nurturing their creativity. Her joyful presence left a lasting impact on young hearts, pointing them to be the source of all joy. Edee Leann Sinclair's life echoed Psalm 16:11, "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Her legacy of faith, joy, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. We take comfort knowing she is now in the presence of her Lord, where joy is everlasting. A celebration of Edee's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd.,
Rosenberg, TX 77471. A committal service will follow on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Osawatomie, Kansas 66064. May her memory inspire us to live with the same faithfulness and joy that defined her life, until we are reunited in the presence of our Lord.
