She was born May 6, 1928 in Brno, Czech Republic, the daughter of Hermann and Steffi Verderber. On December 24, 1948 in Vienna, Austria she was united in marriage to Doyle Earl Nickle, who preceded her in death on December 20, 2019. Also preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Christene Seal and brother, Hermann Verderber.

Trudy grew up and graduated from high school in the Czech Republic, later attending college in Austria, where she attained a teaching degree. She then began her job as a homemaker, which she loved. She enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Hospital in Cassville, where she touched numerous lives with her warmth, and kindness. Crocheting and making crafts were among her favorite hobbies. Trudy loved going camping with her husband, but most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She had been a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church since 1966. Trudy's memory will be in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to cross paths with her.
