Edgar Arroyo, age 30, passed away tragically, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Chicago.
Born July 19, 1995, in Chicago, he was the beloved son of Martín and Patricia (Valdes) Arroyo.
A loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle and cousin, Edgar will be forever missed by his loving family, and no one will ever take his place.
Edgar enjoyed playing baseball with his boys and found great joy in reading during his quiet moments.
He will be remembered for his joy and enthusiasm, qualities that left a mark on everyone who knew him.
Surviving are his children, Julian, Joel, and Ana Elena; his parents, Martín and Patricia of Plainfield; his brothers, Eduardo and Kevin; his niece, Leilani; his grandparents; and many cousins and dear friends.
Visitation for Edgar Arroyo will be held Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 11, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., from the funeral home to St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. IL Route 59, Plainfield, IL, for mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Plainfield Township Cemetery.

Edgar Arroyo, de 30 años, falleció trágicamente el sábado 2 de agosto de 2025 en el Hospital Mt. Sinai, Chicago.
Nacido el 19 de julio de 1995 en Chicago, era el hijo amado de Martín y Patricia (Valdés) Arroyo.
Un padre, hijo, hermano, tío y primo amoroso y devoto, Edgar será extrañado para siempre por su amada familia, y nadie ocupará su lugar.
Edgar disfrutaba jugar béisbol con sus hijos y encontraba gran alegría en leer durante sus momentos de tranquilidad.
Será recordado por su alegría y entusiasmo, cualidades que dejaban una huella en todos los que lo conocieron.
Le sobreviven sus hijos, Julián, Joel, y Ana Elena; sus padres, Martín y Patricia de Plainfield; sus hermanos, Eduardo y Kevin; su sobrina, Leilani; sus abuelos; y muchos primos y queridos amigos.
El velorio de Edgar Arroyo se llevará a cabo el domingo 10 de agosto de 2025, de 1:00 a 7:00 p.m., en la funeraria Fred C. Dames, 3200 Black Road, Joliet. Los servicios fúnebres se llevarán a cabo el lunes 11 de agosto de 2025 a las 9:30 a.m., desde la funeraria hasta la Iglesia Católica St. Mary Immaculate, 15629 S. IL Route 59, Plainfield, IL, a las 10:30 a.m. El entierro será en el cementerio del municipio de Plainfield.
