Edgar William "Ed" Dyal, age 85, passed away peacefully at Hospice House Satilla January 17, 2026, after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County, born December 07, 1940, to the late Tommie Dyal and Minnie Lee Dyal. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Donnie Ray Dyal and nephew, Bryan Dyal.

He was owner of Ed Dyal Specialty Advertising for 52 years. He was a longtime member and deacon of Lees Chapel Baptist Church.

Ed was a father, grandfather, friend, and "Uncle Edgar" to many, whose kindness and sense of humor left a lasting impact on all he encountered. He never met anyone he didn't know before they parted ways. His love for His Savior Jesus Christ was evident in the life he lived, and he was always eager to share Christ with anyone he met. He was a true and faithful servant. Ed's presence in the home and community will leave a lasting void and will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Laverne Ruis Dyal; daughter, Sandy Foster (Ronnie) of Alma; grandson, Andy Foster (Lyndsey) of Lakeland, FL; brothers, Roscoe Dyal (Carol) of Parker, Colorado, Wayne Dyal, Eugene Dyal (Sherrie), both of Alma; sister-in-law, Jane Dyal; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 2 PM at Lees Chapel Church with Pastor Greg Delk, Pastor Edmund Thrift, Pastor John Sasser, Pastor Monroe Gill, and Pastor Ronnie Foster officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include Tony Lee, Mikey Lee, Larry Lewis, Steven Lee, Charles Whitley, Richie Taylor, Kenny Ray, and Willie Jeffrey.

Honorary pallbearers include the Saturday Men's Fellowship Meeting Group, all Pastor friends and lifelong friends, the staff of Satilla Hospice House, Amedisys Home Health nurses, Dr Clay Carter and staff, Dr. David Sutton, Dr. Michael Brumback, Dr. James Smart, Dr. Timothy Walsh, Dr. Joel Ferree, Marci Johnson NP, Dr. Sandeep A.
