Edgar was born November, 06 1934 in Ketsch, Rhein-Neckar-Kreis , BadenWürttemberg, Germany. He came to America when he was 20 years old walking off the boat on his birthday. He served in the American army as a German translator. He was also a very skilled tradesman who enjoyed working with his hands. He started his successful family owned plumbing business E. H Laier and Sons years ago which is still being run today by his two sons. He was a member of the German American Club of Albany (Schuetzen Park) where he loved playing soccer for many years. He was a member of the Guilderland Elks club where he enjoyed spending his spare time playing cards, shooting darts and having good conversations.
Edgar was the rock and heart to his family. He was a hardworking and determined man who always put his family first. His absence leaves an unfillable space in their lives and his memory will forever be cherished. At Edgar's request services will be private. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date and in lieu of flowers please send donations to your local Hospice.
