Edgar Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moreland Funeral Home - Westerville on Mar. 3, 2026.
Edgar P. Miller, III, 55, of Westerville Ohio, entered into eternal life on March 3, 2026, following a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on March 22, 1970, in Columbus, Ohio.
Ed was an incredibly patient and intelligent man whose loving, compassionate, and caring nature touched everyone who knew him. His presence had a calming effect, he brought peace to every storm. He was steady, dependable, and deeply trustworthy, a man who could always be counted on. One of his favorite sayings was, "Children need love," a reflection of the values he carried throughout his life.
Above all, Ed's greatest goal was to be a devoted husband and father- a goal he exceeded beyond measure. His love for his family was unwavering, and the legacy of that love will continue for generations. Traci often referred to Ed as a "True gift from God."
Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Bronwen Chapman. He is survived by his beloved wife, Traci Miller; his cherished daughter, Jadalynn Miller-Gilchrist (Landen); his father, Edgar P. Miller Jr.; his brother, Jason Chew; his sisters, Rhawna Villanueva (Jonathon) and Krystal Cain (Kiah); his sister-in-law, Nancy Scheideger; his mother-in-law, Linda Morris; and his stepchildren, Collin O'Brien, Kade O'Brien, and Zackary Spring (Ericka). He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
Ed was a proud graduate of Westerville South High School, where he played soccer. His love of the sport continued well beyond high school as he participated in various recreational leagues, forming many lifelong friendships along the way.
Professionally, Ed dedicated over 20 years to supply management, working at Smiths Medical and most recently serving as a Lead Inventory Specialist at Path Robotics. He was respected for his work ethic, integrity, and leadership.
One of Ed's greatest passions was table tennis. As a longtime member of the Columbus Table Tennis Club, he built lasting friendships and achieved many accomplishments, including winning his division at the 2017 Arnold Table Tennis Challenge.
In recent years, Ed found joy in building and racing his 2020 KIA Stinger GT. An avid car enthusiast, he loved attending car shows, visiting the drag strip, and being part of the online Stinger community.
More than anything, Ed treasured time spent with family and friends. He and his loving wife shared many adventures and travels together, creating memories that will forever be cherished.
Ed will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, steadiness, and bold strength will live on in his wife, daughter, family, and all who were blessed to know him.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the funeral home with Rev. Calvin Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville.
