Edgar (Nick) Wayne Timms, 78, of Junction, Texas passed from this life on November 11,2022 in Junction. He was born on December 24,1943 in Junction to Edgar and Frankie Miller Timms.
Nick worked as meat cutter for 47 years at Barkers, Livermans and Super S/ Lowes. Everyone knew him as the “Cheese Man” and he was well loved by all in the community. He served one term on the Junction City Council and was a deacon/elder at Junction Full Gospel Church for many years. His first love was always God and second was his beloved wife of 59 years, Sandra. He cherished his children, grandchildren and all that stepped into his home especially the babies. He enjoyed many hobbies such as fishing, hunting, metal detecting, drawing, looking for arrow heads and just spending time with his family.
Nick always asked “Do you know what today is?” and then reply “this is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24. He would always pick up pennies that he found on the ground and would ask” Do you know why I pick these pennies up?” He would then reply because “because my Father’s name is on it.” If Nick were here today, he would tell all of us “tell Jesus you love him because he first loved you.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Frankie Miller Timms, five brothers and three sisters.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Sandra Timms; daughter, Rhonda Rotge and husband, Justin; sons, Jeffery Timms and wife, Tonja and Kevin Timms and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Callie, Reagan, Michael, Kyndal and Jensen; great grandchildren, Cruise and Dawson; sisters, Nina Gentry and Alma Young and husband, Richard; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.
