Edgardo Manuel Villanueva "Eddie" of Crestview, Florida passed away at Gulf Breeze Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was born in New York City, New York on February 5, 1963, to Efrain Villanueva and Veronica Genova.
Eddie attended beauty college in New York City and prior to moving to Crestview, Florida he lived in Long Island, New York. He loved the beach and casinos and made yearly trips to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure for his birthdays. His favorite music was Pasty Cline and Loretta Lynn. Eddie was known to be the life of the party, always smiling and had a laugh that made everyone join in.
He is survived by his life partner of twenty-six years, James Corbin; mother, Veronica Genova; siblings, James Martinez, Baltazar Martinez Jr., Elsa Ruiz (Angel), Veronica Ward (Terry); along with many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.
Eddie is preceded in death by brother, David Martinez; nephew, Jaime Martinez Jr.; dog, Sonny (Bobunny).
A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at The Hampton Inn Meeting Room 112 John King Road, Crestview, Florida 32539, on February 3, 2023 from 3-6pm.
Per Eddie's wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. http://www.stjude.org/donate
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Crestview Memorial.
