BAYLOR, Edith Delores Terrell, went home to be with the Lord at an early hour on September 11, 2008 at her home in Ruther Glen, Va. She leaves to cherish her memory, seven loving and devoted children, Jerome Baylor of Sparta, Va., Raymond Baylor (Bessie) of King William, Va., Lillian B Thornton (Charles), Julia B. Jones (Robert) of Ruther Glen, Va., Cecilia B. Messiah (Rev. Carl Messiah) of Fort Washington, Md., Lou Melvin Baylor Jr., and Teresa L. Vaughn of Ruther Glen, Va.; daughter-in-law, Marion P. Baylor of Richmond, Va.; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one devoted sister-in-law, Mrs. Addie S. Terrell; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Caregivers, Ms. Dorothy Toliver, Ms. Eloise Green, Ms. Loretta Young and Mrs. Della Johnson, The Vitas Hospice Staff and many kind friends. Her remains rest at the Henry W. Dabney Funeral Home, 518 N. Washington Hwy., Ashland, Va. Visitation/viewing will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Oxford Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 25215 Zion Rd., Ruther Glen, Va. 22546, where the homegoing celebration for Mrs. Baylor will be Wednesday, September 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. Interment church cemetery.

Vance and I are real good friends of Julia Jones and have been for years I didn't get the chance to meet her mother but if she was like her daughter she was very like as well .Julia is one of the nices person I know and one of the best cooks I remember from Bear Island when she would bring something in for us to eat boy did I enjoy that .Like I said her Mother raise a wonderful child in her I am so said for her loss .
