Edith M. Benson

Edith M. Benson, age 88 of Lancaster, died September 25, 2022 at Crestview Nursing Home. She was born to the late John and Bessie Mast Conrad on April 2, 1934 in Lancaster. She was a member of 1st English Lutheran Church. Edith retired from Lancaster Glass and continued to work as an amazing cook. She enjoyed catering weddings and events and was known as a hard worker to all. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who enjoyed being around family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Harold "Sonny" (Tammy McIlwain) Lutz, Deborah J. Butts, and Sean (Charity Ireland) Benson; grandchildren, Tamara S. Turkenton and Diana J. (Jason) Kinlen; great grandchildren, Jakob, Brayden, and Alaynna Kinlen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Benson; daughter, Diana J. Turkenton; son-in-law, Kenneth Butts; and daughter-in-law, Darla Benson.
A graveside service, arranged through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, will take place at Noon on Thursday Sept 29, at Betzer Cemetery in Carroll, OH, officiated by Pastor Brian Dillahunt.
