Edith Bowe, age 107 of Rochester, formerly of Chatfield, passed away at the Meadow Lakes Senior Living Center in Rochester.
Edith was born on October 2, 1918 to George and Helen (nee Bennett) Markham in Olmsted County at the family farm. She attended school in the country schools of Olmsted County near Marion. She married Joseph "Joe" Bowe on February 22, 1944 and they made a home and raised a family in rural Olmsted County. Edith loved to garden, knit, sew and plant flowers. She lived on her own until she was 103.
She is lovingly survived by her children Bill (Rita) Bowe of Rochester and Shirley Stokes of Howard Lake, Minnesota, 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1995, one brother and two sisters.
A private service for Edith will be held at a later date. Burial will be in the Orion Cemetery.
