Edith "Naurine" Cobb, age 97 passed away on December 25, 2023, in Medina, Ohio. She was born on November 7, 1926, in Zela, West Virginia to the late Bert and May (Brown) Morriston. Our dear grandmother blessed our lives with love and creativity. She was a culinary master, who infused warmth into every dish and celebration. Beyond the kitchen, she worked wonders with a needle and thread, weaving stories through her sewing. From her custom creations to thoughtful mends, she stitched love into every fabric. Her unwavering support extended to the sidelines of our sporting events, where she cheered us on across the state of Ohio. Expressing love effortlessly, she made sure we knew how special we were to her. Her home was a place of warmth, always open to friends and family, offering not only a comforting meal but also a welcoming embrace, it was a place of shared laughter and cherished memories. How fitting that she passed away on Christmas day (Her favorite holiday that held a special place in her heart.) making that day an all the more poignant reminder of her enduring spirit. Grandma leaves us with a legacy of love, delectable memories from her kitchen, and the beautiful stitches that will forever thread us together.
Naurine is survived by her loving sons, Donald (Kathy) Cobb, Jr. and Greg (Gail) Cobb; beloved grandchildren, Matt (Maura) Cobb, Lyndsey (Aaron) Enmen, Allison (Aaron) Pettrey, Jackie (Brad) Rush, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Cobb, Emily (Steven) Steffas; cherished great grandchildren, Jourdan, Will, Wyatt, Jackson, Gianna, Hayden, Levi, Lila, Louie, Maya, Charlotte.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 71 years, Donald Cobb, Sr., her parents, Bert and May (Brown) Morriston, and six siblings.
Private services will be held by the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Naurine's memory be made to: Northeast Ohio Hospice, https://www.northeastohiohealthservices.org/donate.
