Edith E. Edner, 99, went to be with her Lord, on Monday, July28, 2025.
Born October 1, 1925, in Bellevue, PA., she was the daughter of the late Lester and Martha (Crockett) Hall.
Edith graduated from DuBois Area High School, class of 1943 and graduated from the DuBois Business College.
On September 9, 1945, in DuBois, she married Merritt L. Edner, he preceded her on November 22, 1984.
Edith was a loving, devoted Christian woman, a life member of DuBois Lakeside Church, where she was active in many aspects of the church. Her dedication to the Lord, lead her to doing volunteer work, such as 30 years at the Maple Avenue Hospital, Food Pantry and Nelson's Golden Years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving family: daughter, Melanie J. (Joseph) Ivonowski of Summerville SC, sons, Rev. Dr. Merritt H. (Carol) Edner of Bowie, MD, David W. (Patricia) Edner of DuBois, PA, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Edith was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Edith was preceded by her parents, husband, grandson, Eric D. Edner, sister, Miriam Brunt and brother, Dr. Howard Hall.
At this time there will be no services, a service of Remembrance is being planned for a later date.
Memorials may be made to the DuBois Lakeside Church 420 First Street DuBois, Pa. 15801 or to the donor's choice.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium.
