Edith Kay (Schroeder) Erwin, 77, passed away on March 3, 2026.
Edith was born on July 24, 1948, in Brenham, Texas to Ira Lee Schroeder and Ida May Klar Schroeder. She was baptized on September 5, 1948, and confirmed on April 15, 1962, at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn.
She graduated from Brenham High School and later completed the LVN Program at Blinn College. Edith dedicated her career to caring for others, working at Trinity Hospital and Baylor Scott & White Hospital.
Edith enjoyed reading and watching mystery movies. She treasured time with her family and will be remembered for her quiet strength, caring nature, and devotion to those she loved.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Jackie Schroeder; her sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Albin Flisowski; her grandchildren, Blake Powers, Maylee Powers, and Dawson Powers; and her great-grandson, Jonathon Kashh Polanco.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida May and Ira Lee Schroeder, and her daughter, Lisa Powers.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn with Pastor Kelly Krieg officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tyler Rogers, Josh Schroeder, Justin Schroeder, Dax Flisowski, Blake Powers, Dawson Powers, and Scott Sonnenburg.
