Charles Edward Mueller of Carmine, TX, passed away at home in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the age of 83.
Charles was born September 6, 1942 to Henry and Leonia (Petrich) Mueller in Brenham, Texas. He was baptized and confirmed at Greenvine Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine, TX.
On June 3, 1967 Charles married Charlene (Treude) at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top, TX. They spent the last 58 years together. They had three daughters and one son.
As a youngster, Charles enjoyed attending livestock shows around the state. Let’s not forget he loved his Baseball. For many years you could find him on the softball fields in Brenham pitching his heart out. He had played for many different fast pitch softball teams in area. Charles worked for Jake’s Eggs in Carmine delivering eggs to the warehouse in Houston for years. Charles along with his wife Charlene opened a small bait shop at their home selling live bait to local fisherman which led them to opening C&C Drive Inn in Carmine, TX. C & C Drive Inn was opened as a small gas station that sold live bait and a hangout for locals to enjoy a hamburger and or a cold beer. Later they would host horseshoe tournaments, turkey shoots and added Sunday Bar-B-Q and catering to their business. After the store was closed he went to work for Sealy Mattress in Brenham, TX. and he loved to go deer hunting.
Charles is survived by, his wife Charlene (Treude) Mueller of Carmine, TX, his daughter Barbara (Alfredo) Gamez of Kyle TX, Brenda (Steven) Medack of Giddings, TX, Becky (Jason) Jasinski of Brenham, TX and Charles (Cyndi) Mueller Jr. of Carmine, TX. Eight Grandchildren, Brian (Jade) Gamez of Buda, TX, Jeffrei Gamez of Kyle, TX, Cody (Alexis) Medack of Giddings, TX, Tyler (Micaela) Medack of Bastrop, TX, Zachery Mueller of Shell Knob, MO, Dylan Mueller and friend Kyle of Waco, TX, Kennedy Jasinski and McKinley Jasinski of Brenham, TX. Along with three great grandchildren, Bayker Medack, Teo Gamez and Andie Medack. Brother-in law Glenn Treude and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Preceded in death by, his parents, Henry and Leonia Mueller, Parents-in laws, Edwin and Elfredia Treude, Grandson, Kyle Mueller, Sister and brother -in-law Betty Jean and Edwin Farrack, Sister-in-law Joy Treude and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Darlene (Treude) Weyand and ElGene Weyand.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. A visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
The Family would like to extend a big thank you to the nurses and staff of Hospice Brazos Valley for the support and service they provided to Charles in the past month.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Carmine, TX or Hospice Brazos Valley.
